Alex Pearce is a highly experienced employment lawyer and Head of the Employment Team at Pinney Talfourd. He advises employers, business owners, senior executives and partnerships on all aspects of employment law, including complex disputes, strategic HR matters, and business-critical exits. Known for his pragmatic, results-focused advice, Alex is trusted by clients to navigate sensitive workplace issues while protecting their commercial interests. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Alex acts for a wide range of clients across sectors including professional services, transportation, construction, entertainment and technology. He is frequently instructed in high-stakes Employment Tribunal claims and has particular expertise in discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal cases. He also has significant experience in Employment Appeal Tribunal matters. Alex also works closely with the firm’s Corporate Team on transactions where employment issues arise.
He is highly experienced in negotiating settlement agreements on behalf of both employers and senior employees, ensuring favourable terms while preserving reputation and future prospects. His dual perspective, having acted extensively for both employers and employees, gives him a tactical advantage in resolving disputes efficiently.
Alex joined Pinney Talfourd in 2010 and qualified as a solicitor in 2012. He was promoted to Senior Associate in 2017 and made Partner in 2025. Earlier in his career, he worked at a leading national Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked firm, where he was involved in high-profile litigation -including a whistleblowing case against an NHS Trust reported in The Independent and by the BBC.
