Festive spirit and laughter were in the air as we welcomed some of our elderly clients to our annual Christmas Luncheon at our Upminster offices on Wednesday 12 December.
They enjoyed a festive-themed tasting menu with food and drink from all over the world. Some of the dishes on offer included Cheese and Chorizo Rollitos from Spain, Smoked Salmon Blinis with Caviar from Russia, Yorkshire Pudding with Beef & Horseradish from Britain, and Mushroom Arancini from Italy. An international dessert selection included Panettone from Italy and Stollen bites from Germany.
This was a big change from our regular afternoon tea theme and all of the dishes received positive reviews with many of the guests trying new foods and vowing to order them again.
In between courses they enjoyed Virgin Marys and Limoncellos, as well as some improvisational comedy which had everyone in jolly spirits. Dan Watts of PT Wealth Management also happens to be a stand up comic and drafted a comic friend in to put on an exclusive gig for the guests.
A few lucky winners even went home with prizes from the raffle, which rasied £132 for our Charity of the Year, Tapestry.
The feedback from the event was fantastic yet thought provoking, with some guests saying that they were spending Christmas Day alone and that this was their ‘Christmas Day’ which left us feeling very honoured to be able to share ths time with them.
A thoroughly good time was had by all and we wish them a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
