Julien Pritchard attended Anglia Ruskin University where he studied Business Information Systems obtained a BSc. He then undertook the Common Professional Exams (conversion to law) followed by the Legal Practice Course, graduating in 1997.

Julien joined a small local firm specialising in property to complete his training contract qualifying as a solicitor in 1999. Post qualification, Julien moved to a regional firm where he built his specialism in commercial property and he ultimately moved to Birkett Long, a well-respected regional player, working in both the commercial property and agricultural property departments.

Julien joined Pinney Talfourd in 2009 and was made a partner in 2014. During that time Julien took on the role as head of the Commercial Property Team. He now leads a team of three solicitors but continues to spend the majority of his time acting for clients of the firm.

Julien has a wide range of experience dealing with all types of clients from sole traders to large multinationals and statutory undertakers, he regularly deals with:

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

In his spare time, in addition to managing his son’s social diary, Julien can often be found outside shooting clay pigeons or inside enjoying films, television and console gaming. Julien is also involved behind the scenes for a local amateur dramatics company and has recently been an assistant stage manager on several successful shows.

Noteable achievements

  • Acting for a large insurance company securing four floors of prime office space in central London with a rent of over £800,000 per annum.
  • Securing a lease renewal for a recycling company over a large warehouse/yard commercial space with a rent in excess of £480,000 per annum, together with a right of pre-emption for the tenant in the event that the property is sold.
  • Acting for an agricultural landowner in granting an option to grant a lease to allow for the construction of a gas generating facility on their land.
  • The sale of prime development space in Brentwood on a conditional contract for a sale price of £6m.
  • The purchase of an office space let on a commercial lease to Regus for £16m.
  • The management of a portfolio of 30 retail units for a charitable client providing palliative care to the community.
