Attention Brentwood Businesses – Additional Restrictions Grant scheme opens

The Additional Restrictions Grant scheme is now open to any business which has seen its revenues affected by the COVID-19 pandemic by at least 30%. Applicants can apply if they are not eligible to receive a Local Restrictions Support Grant.

Businesses will need to demonstrate fixed overheads i.e. professional fees, utilities, insurance or commercial rent to be eligible for the grants of up to £3,000.

The Additional Restrictions Grant scheme also applies to eligible home-based businesses who can demonstrate significant commercial outgoings.

This scheme is managed by local councils and is ongoing until the funds have all been allocated. Brentwood Borough Council has been allocated £1.5m under the scheme which is part of a £4.6bn lockdown fund announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak to help businesses with the third national lockdown.
